The beauty of poetry lies in the fact that every individual who reads a poem can subject the poem to their own interpretation based on the analogy they can draw from their experiences or experiences observed around them. While I would love to have readers subject my poems to their own interpretations, thereby confirming the versatility of the writing ( and the many meanings that emerge thereof) , I would also like to ensure that the original thought process behind the poems ( my version) is also known.
The first poem Illusions( from my previous post) is based on the notion of Life , Rebirth the concept of Maya or Illusion as referred to by ancient Indian Philosophy. So Life is itlself potrayed as an Illusion and Death is akin to Rebirth , the filter of human desires keeps the Illusion real . Once desires are forsaken, the Pure White state of Salvation is achieved and so on.
The second poem is an observation of the Age lines on the face of a human being . ( Wrinkles doesn't sound too good)
Happy reading ....and I would love to hear some discussion/comments etc
